Betty J Harmsen

Betty is the founder of Haiti Share and has been its executive director since its inception in 2007. She also has done a great deal of mentoring of young Haitians, through the annual training retreat, visits to Haiti and leadership emails. Betty has a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and 20 years full-time experience in teaching mathematics, half at the high school level and half at the university level.

Raymond is a charter member of Haiti Share, and the first to graduate from university. After graduating in 2011 from the Academie Nationale Diplomatique Et Consulaire in Port-au-Prince, with a degree in Diplomacy, he came to work for Haiti Share. He is on committees for several organizations in Haiti and is a Sunday school teacher in his local church.

David Pope

David worked with Ernst & Young in Houston, Singapore, Hong Kong and Chicago for 40 years, including 30 years as a Partner in the company. He is a founding member and deacon at the Bible Church of the Lakes, served three years on Horseshoe Bay Property Owners Association Board of Directors and was a Horseshoe Bay city council member for four years.

Cheri Huerta

Cheri is currently employed as a financial analyst for Zebra Technologies and has nearly 25 years of experience working in Supply chain finance including 9 years in Mexico. She has a Master's degree in International Management from the Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management and is fluent in Spanish.  She has held leadership roles in her church, Boy Scouts of America and Bible Study Fellowship, International.


Julio Volcy

Julio is a native Haitian with a doctorate in Ministry from Christian Life School of Theology in Atlanta, Georgia and extended training in the areas of leadership, world missions, church planting and non-profit administration. He is the founder and president of Hope Outreach International and the executive director of Teen Challenge-Haiti.

Art and Carol Hawkinson

Art and Carol

Art enjoyed a 35 year career in Geological Management with Atlantic Richfield and OXY USA, after which he became Business Manager for Camp Peniel, where he has served for 28 years. Art is assisted by his wife, who is experienced in data processing. Both Art and Carol are actively leading Bible studies in their local area.

Willie and Claudette Monnet

Pastor Monnet is the founding pastor for the Smoking for Jesus Ministries, located north of Kingsland Texas. Sister Monnet's many ministries include leading women's Bible studies. The Monnets have had many years of experience in helping young people with a variety of problems to experience wholeness in Christ.

Tommy has a Ph.D. in counseling. He is the owner and operator of Highland Lake Christian Counseling in Horseshoe Bay and also serves as an adjunct professor of counseling and psychology for Dallas Baptist University in Dallas, Texas.
