MISSIONS AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Mission Trip – August 25-29, 2021

Earthquake Relief in Saint Louis du Sud, Haiti

A team of 24 people led by Pastor Wilner traveled to Saint Louis du Sud, the area that sustained significant damage from the 2021 earthquake. In addition to preaching and leading worship services, our team was able to distribute clothes, shoes, food, toothbrushes, toothpaste and soap to over 200 people who suffered damage as a result of the earthquake.

Annual Neighborhood Bible Day Camp

Every summer around 250 – 350 children from the community attend our Bible Day Camp. We also have around sixty volunteers who all work extremely hard to organize the stories, songs, and activities for the kids and to prepare the food each day.

Annual Anniversary of Haiti Share Community- Wide Celebration

Haiti Share was launched June 29, 2007, and every year since, the families who participate in our Haiti Share programs gather to give thanks to God and to the many volunteers who lead and teach them and their children.  They encourage each other with stories, songs and dances and celebrate  together with a meal.

Community Outreach

Public Health Education and Free Medical Screenings

Our humanitarian team gives educational presentations on public health and free medical screenings to members of the community.

Haiti Share Widow Ministry

In July 2022 Pastor Wilner and Bertain launched a brand-new ministry to reach out to 30 widows in the community.  They hope to foster friendships between the ladies and form a support network for them.  They pray for them and offer tangible support like home repairs when they are able to do so.  They are also taking an inventory of their skills to see if we can find ways to help them earn an income.

Haiti Share Library and Computer/ Internet Lab

Our Haiti Share library and computer lab is open for students and their families to use for school or job searches.  We not only have books and computers, but also power and internet which many of them do not have reliable access to at home.
